Meanwhile, Governor Cuomo, held up as the Sacred Moral Opposition, is putting another tracking and surveillance system into place in Manhattan, this will the first place in the world where pedestrians get tolls for walking down the street. Cuomo wants to tax us so he can spend 200 MILLION DOLLARS on pretty lights on a bridge.

Well our Lord Cuomo - who will probably be president in 2020 - is rebuilding LaGuardia Airport. He wants the tourists to be happy and have a mall-like experience. He won't extend the subway to the airport, however. He is going to start taxing people for moving through the streets of Manhattan so he can spend $200 million on pretty lights on a bridge so the tourists will be happy - he's stated this publicly. He can't seem to find any money for the subways other than increasing our taxes. But he can come up with $500 million to put in cashless tolls on the NY Thruway and get that fucking surveillance grid in place now!

What's really really funny and seems to be completely overlooked is that yesterday was supposed to be about infrastructure.

Mitch McConnell doesn't want an infrastructure bill, and I'm pretty sure even before yesterday Don wouldn't have been able to sweet talk him into it. But maybe.

So he goes ahead introduces something that has very little chance of materializing in the first place (but is a popular idea in theory), then completely pisses away all his remaining political capital in a handful of minutes.
