Well I'm only half-joking with the retirement plan comment.

Oh, come on, girl. Aim higher, you have to go for the fifty!

You might get a special onstage presentation at the 50th show. A carriage clock or something. :D

So they're playing on THURSDAY?

This sucks. I am seeing them on friday and I felt special because of it. Should I buy more tickets?

That's what I was thinking...I mean, I'd choose just one of the dates and skip the other 2... but in this case, the odds would be against me and I could have picked the "worst" of the 3 gigs...How many of you guys will go and see them all the 3 nights?

Danny Himself 03.16.2007 11:06 AM

I can't get saturday tickets but I think I'll buy the thursday tickets tonight.

sarramkrop 03.16.2007 11:07 AM

It's been getting a bit Rolling Stones-like with them, of late.I have started missing the point of it all, unless the whole thing is done purely for the money, which i doubt. If financial reasons is the case, well, that's fine but i can't see any artistic value in that.

if i end up going to london then i'll be seeing all 3 of them... but i'll be coming over from holland so then it's also to justify the trip. but if they'll announce one date for holland later on then i'm not so sure yet about going to london on top of that.

ha! i would want a tiara to wear for the remainder of the show also.

i am looking forward to the england gigs especially to hear the inevitable
compare and contrast. "thursday's 'rain king' was the best. i feel sorry if
you didn't see that one!'" and, "yeah, the saturday show was the only one
where thurston actually remembered most of the lyrics to 'the wonder.'"

Danny Himself 03.16.2007 11:13 AM

You're coming to the gigs, Jenn?

jennthebenn 03.16.2007 11:20 AM

no, i meant reading about the reactions on here of the ones who are going to the UK gigs. you all had better be providing us with the great reviews,
i mean after you get home late and type out, "RAAAIIIIIIIIINNN KIIIIIIIING!"
before you pass out.

i do look forward to playing the compare/contrast game with
the multiple dates they will do on the east coast.

Danny Himself 03.16.2007 11:23 AM

I'll probably die mid-set as Total Trash ends.

I just might call an ambulance for you during Hey Joni, but don't expect me to help during the Sprawl, 'Cross the Breeze or Trilogy... you're on your own then.

Danny Himself 03.16.2007 11:30 AM

I already know what clothes I'm going to wear that night. I am THAT prepared.

lalie 03.16.2007 12:02 PM

A third gig in London! I can't believe it!
I guess they won't play Daydream Nation in Paris then...

Which is a shame. In my experience, Parisian audiences are probably much more deserving of the treat than London ones.

scottheron 03.16.2007 12:04 PM

Am I the only person a little annoyed?
Have got tickets for both Roundhouse nights, but now I'm not seeing the opening night :(

pokkeherrie 03.16.2007 12:07 PM

I wouldn't give up hope yet... they've been playing in no city outside the US so much as they have in Paris in the last few years.

I'll light a candle for you during Candle.

Oh, really? I don't know much about London ones, but Parisian audiences are often said to be very demanding...
I must say that the idea of Daydream Nation show + weekend in Paris in good company was really nice, but I'm lucky I can go to London.

GrungeMonkey 03.16.2007 12:20 PM

Does anyone else see this as a final tour to play their finest work to the masses before they split up? Just one of a few things that have made me think this... I really hope not.

Kyohan 03.16.2007 03:26 PM

Nice one - I get to see them two nights in London now :)
