Are you serious? If I have to decide the best Pink Floyd song, it might be Atom Heart. Of course everybody have right to have own opinions, but do you have opinion, that Atom Heart is worse than the eighties and nineties material?

Count Mecha 08.08.2010 01:19 AM

Nothing is worse than those last four albums they did.

i like the final cut, but i'll agree about the other three.

atom heart mother (the title track) is pretty damn overblown, to put it lightly. definitely up there with their worst.

The part where he screams is cool but the rest of it I hate his voice and the music sounds like bad meat puppets rip off.

If the song was just based on the parts where the distortion kicks in and he screams on the verses, and he wrote a better chorus for it, I would dig it.

I think the whole Atom Heart Mother album is awesome! The best of theirs! Also the title-track is great! Of course it´s not easylistening track. At first I didn´t like the album as much as for example the dark side. But when I have listened it many times in many years, I have found there something, that touch much more deeper feelings inside me as the Dark Side. It´s very unique album in Pink Floyd´s material and very unique also worldwide. Only some songs in Björk´s Medulla remind me that album. I find it interesting also because there´s something from the old, psychedelic Floyd and something that is coming in next Floyd´s albums. That´s the reason, why I also like the Who album "Who sell out". It´t a combination of their early energy and later masterpieces.

HA! That's really funny. Not sure if I agree completely with it but it was certainly funny to read.

I love maxwell's silver hammer. wats wrong with songs bout killin? in a vaudeville manner?

LifeDistortion 08.23.2010 02:32 PM

We Will Fall -The Stooges Talk about dragging an album down with one song.

Hunting Bears-Radiohead

I put up with Mother Nature's Son for Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except for me and my Monkey -The Beatles

Sad Eyed Lady of the Low Lands -Bob Dylan. Again, too slow and too long. Just like We Will Fall

Pixes-Silver

Cough/Cool Misfits (sensing a pattern here?)

Does that mean you don't like the Tom Waits song? Or just the Ramones cover of it?
