Please, to all the guys going : PROMISE you'll dress exactly like you did back in 1988 (this does not apply to Savage Clone).

sonicl 02.21.2007 05:25 AM

Awww, Kegmama... Come over for the show. Bring Kegpapa and the Kegchildren, it can be your holiday for the year.

I shall wear my very very rare DDN hoodie.

nicfit 02.21.2007 05:39 AM

Obviously we'll need pics to check your overall style. DDN hoodie + new balance shoes = NO NO!

sonicl 02.21.2007 05:42 AM

Style? If I'm going to be judged on style, I'm in big trouble.

nicfit 02.21.2007 05:48 AM

We'll see, let's set a proper contest to be held in august... with different categories and all, in which case you'll probably gain a nomination in "kindness" ;)

Alan ciccone 02.21.2007 08:23 AM

do Roundhouse only deliver within the UK? I'm in Ireland and want to go

sonicl 02.21.2007 08:25 AM

They don't deliver overseas, but you can have the ticket held at the box office and collect it on the day of the concert.

Alan ciccone 02.21.2007 08:30 AM

I had to re register for these boards but at least my username is here. ive gotta get in tiouch with my brother to give me his credit card. how sweet is this?

Has anyone got a small red jumper with a blue helicopter on and matching trousers?

sonicl 02.21.2007 08:33 AM

Would that be Budgie the Little Helicopter?

nicfit 02.21.2007 08:33 AM

I just went through mustang's concert chronology and dug out the setlist from the 2002 gig i saw http://www.sonicyouth.com/mustang/cc/070602.html
and, you lucky guys, the DDN tracks were simply amazing.. let alone if they focus even more on them... I should stop posting in this thread...

Might well be, failing that some kind of Thomas The Tank Engine Motif will keep things ultra-realistic if thats whats required.

Alan ciccone 02.21.2007 09:19 AM

Here you go: Budgie the Little Helicopter iron-on T-shirt transfer

So now we'll all be able to recognise you :)

the ikara cult 02.21.2007 09:33 AM

haha. Oh dear. Is thankyou the word? Im really not sure.

sonicl 02.21.2007 11:52 AM

That transfer would look really cool with the word "sonic" above it and the word "youth" below. Believe me. It would rock.

PAULYBEE2656 02.21.2007 01:56 PM

gah. the more i think of this gig, te more it must be absorbed by retinal and aural means! gotta go........

....looks likely that its the electric picnic for sy tis year, not confirmed by the way!
another irish date for sy at a festival. its been 10 years since their last inside a venue gig in ireland! and the worst thing, electric picnic tickets sell out even before the line up is released!
gotta get to this mother of a gig to!

hey alan ciccone>............ where in the greater ireland area u in??????

jon boy 02.21.2007 02:48 PM

greenlight 02.21.2007 03:18 PM

please, please,please, please, please....

telenoise 02.21.2007 04:51 PM

some ticketshop linked by atp wrote "sy performing daydream nation + other songs"...so the set will be longer than 71 minutes. half hour of diamond sea would be a good encore!

btw, new dates in germany:
21.06. tollwood-festival/münchen
25.06. e-werk/köln
26.06. schlachthof/wiesbaden
27.06. columbiahalle/berlin

EvdWee 02.21.2007 04:56 PM

where do you get those dates from?

telenoise 02.21.2007 05:01 PM

a reliable source. i got that from an ad of their german booking company in a magazine.don't know why they did'nt announce it here yet.

EvdWee 02.21.2007 05:03 PM

these dates from 25-27 are all club gigs?

telenoise 02.21.2007 05:06 PM

seems like the sold-out show in berlin in december made them realise that there are more fans in germany than they thought. except for a festival appearance in 2005 they did'nt play here for almost 5 years.

yes, all shows with a roof and no mud.

You'd get arrested for wearing a hoodie in Chalk Farm.Or at least you should.

sonicl 02.22.2007 04:57 AM

Not this one, it makes me look like an elf. Elves are allowed to wear hoodies, it's a religious thing.

porkmarras 02.22.2007 04:59 AM

Who do you think you are?Lady Sovereign?

sonicl 02.22.2007 05:00 AM

Nice line. I can't respond to that.

sonicl 02.22.2007 05:37 AM

Bad news for those who couldn't decide whether to go or not: The show is now sold out at The Roundhouse as well as SeeTickets, Wegottickets and Stargreen, so your only way to get a ticket is going to be to get ripped off by a tout.

Either Lady SOV or Savage Clone.

screamingskull 02.22.2007 06:06 AM

will they be performing with Mark?

sonicl 02.22.2007 06:10 AM

It's a secret, screamingskull. If you keep on asking, they might think that you're not happy with just the four of them and decide not to perform at all!

ha ha ha ha ha
i want it just to be Kim, Thurston, Lee and Steve. the way it was in 1988. But i don't care that much, not so much that i would be disappointed if Mark performed with them.
