Get it fixed pronto! That split is pretty ace. I hadn't really liked much of the Yellow Swans stuff I'd heard before, I mainly bought it for the Goslings side, but I liked the Yellow Swans stuff as well. The Warmth/Yellow Swans split on DNT records (I think) is also pretty ace. I think I like "that kind of thing", whatever that may mean, on 7" more than on a full album. Apart from Goslings who I enjoy for the full hour at quite high volume. Grandeur of Hair makes me feel warm and wooly.

Oh, and I won a copy of a 3xlp Kraut Rock compilation on ebay the other day. This one:

damn all your income, but i actually bought the new To Live and Shave in LA album "Les Tricoteuses" at their show, and Tom actually gave me a copy of Group: Xex

after some debts are paid, and if the potential for steady income is realized will get back on the train and start picking up a lot of things

i think i should have added the word "yet" havent gotten into the ruins YET;)
its a cool album, but VERY proggy, and not noisy.
it just needs a few more spins...

king_buzzo 05.23.2007 02:29 AM

Nothing this week.

Onani Nic 05.23.2007 04:21 AM

Mammatus- The Coast Explodes

Pretty awesome but maybe not as awesome as their first. If you haven't heard them I highly recommend them if you're a fan of Hawkwind, Acid Mothers Temple, Comets on Fire, Sleep....

I thought you already had this one, as a big dino fan. I'm surprised.
I hope you v'e listen to it before.

king_buzzo 05.26.2007 05:04 PM

^It was the only one I couldnt find. I did listen to the songs before, but I never had the record because I couldn't be bothered to order it online and i couldnt find it in stores, and today I saw it there.

But yes, now I have all the records, I'm gonna order the singles and the eps soon. But I need bloody Hand It Over on an original cd, I only have a copied one, and the album is out of print.

HECKLER SPRAY 05.26.2007 05:12 PM

I must admit I don't have all the album after Greenmind yet, but I'm gonna buy them soon . I've just heard few songs on each album. Wich one do you recommend me, to start ?

king_buzzo 05.26.2007 05:14 PM

Well, theres only 3, Where You Been, Without A Sound and Hand It Over.

Get Where You Been, its got Out There, Start Choppin and other Dino classics. Without a Sound is pretty orgasmic as well.

Got team dresch - personal best and man or astroman? - EEVIAC through the post the other day - both classics!

youthoftomorrow 05.26.2007 10:34 PM

i got my first paycheck from my new job yesterday.

before my family left to go to Oregon, i bought Dungen's new one, Tio Bitar. not bad; i'll give it a seven.

while in Portland this morning, i bought:

on vinyl for ten bucks at Ozone Records (which is going out of business).

we then drove over to Fabulous Jackpot Records where i purchased:

also on vinyl for eighteen(!) dollars.

Bicorn Halfelven 05.26.2007 11:09 PM

My last trip to the record shop yielded:

Acid Mothers Temple & Escapade: A Thousand Shades of Grey
Aethenor: Deep In Ocean Sunk the Lamp of Light
Hawkwind: Year 2000: Codename Hawkwind Vol. 1
Kelly Deal 6000: Go to the Sugar Altar
Cobra Killer & Kapajkos: Das Mandolinenorchester

THEXTREMIST 05.27.2007 07:58 AM

I've had such a strain on cash lately I haven't bought much. Last thing I bought was Year Zero by Nine Inch Nails. Probably will buy the Meat Puppets new record when it comes out and QOTSA's Era Vulgaris.

Iain 05.27.2007 08:02 AM

I just ordered:

Royal Trux - Singles, Live, Unreleased 3xLP
Royal Trux - Cats and Dogs LP

finding nobody 05.28.2007 11:06 AM

All on LP
Lou Reed- New York
Pink Floyd- Wish You Were Here
Neil Young- Trans (Promo)

Trasher02 05.28.2007 11:08 AM

Nice ones!

sarramkrop 05.28.2007 11:13 AM

It took me almost three years to persuade my friend to sell me the original vinyl version of The Velvet Underground's What Goes On box set. She just just wouldn't let go off it.

Alex's Trip 05.28.2007 11:27 AM

I bought La Foret - Xiu Xiu.

gmku 05.28.2007 11:49 AM

Battles - Mirrored

Did I make a good choice?

pokkeherrie 05.28.2007 12:15 PM

Dunno, I'm not much of a Battles fan I think. But that's based on seeing one live performance, I haven't listened to any of their albums all the way through.

Last albums I bought were

Cop Shoot Cop - Ask Questions Later
Comets on Fire - Avatar
Comets on Fire - Live at Butlins Holiday Resort, Minehead, U.K. 12.09.06 (what a stupid title!)

LittlePuppetBoy 05.30.2007 02:30 PM

got this as a Bday present: Bad Brains-S/T

GrungeMonkey 05.30.2007 04:36 PM

A Be Your Own Pet Record. The one with a black and white cover. Can't remember what its called.

whorefrost 05.31.2007 09:39 AM

Whitehouse - Great White Death (one of their greatest albums probably)
Religious Knives - Remains (quite beautiful)
Original Silence - First Original Silence (very disappointing)
Borbotemagus - Experience the Magic of (haven't spun it yet but should be typically excellent)
Thurston Moore + Tom Surgal - Klangfarbenmelodie and the Colorist Strikes Primitiv (listening to it now, seems very decent)
Dead C - Eusa Kills LP (haven't had a chance to give this a proper listen but first impressions are quite favourable)
Dead C - Future Artists (a wee bit underwhelemd after first listen, seems like the sort of album that will grow on me as I am already feeling compelled to spin it again in the near future)

I heard that recently and, being generally of a non-noise persuasion, I was amazed how much I liked it, especially the final track.

max 05.31.2007 10:00 AM

Blonde Redhead - 23 (my band got it for my 25th bday)

The Sisters of Mercy - Floodland (gosh, it sounds GREAT)
