ok i think neymar is pure ridiculousness but i’ll do devil’s advocate

his fragile bones are worth probably a billion euros in our inflationary times. maybe even more. his transfer, contract, sponsorships, merch deals, tv deals...

from that perspective, he has to sound the alarm every time he gets knocked

if you had a safe with say 2 billion euros in it— would you raise hell anytime someone lays hands on it? i surely would hahahaha. i’d shoot the fuckers.

ok. devil’s advocate mode: terminated

Need to get Sterling running at them straight away. Have to use our pace to our advantage.

Still waiting on Colombia team news.

Supposedly they trained with

Ospina; Arias, Davinson, Mina, Mojica; Uribe, Sánchez, Barrios; Cuadrado, Quintero; Falcao.

yesterday. Meaning there could be 3 holding midfielders in their team

h8kurdt 07.03.2018 12:18 PM

Predictions people?!

Gonna be 2-1 either way I reckon

demonrail666 07.03.2018 12:20 PM

3-1 England

h8kurdt 07.03.2018 12:33 PM

What about Negative Norman?

If he's so bothered about his 'fragile bones', he shouldn't be a footballer. Look at the crap Messi and Ronaldo deal with week in week out. Neymar winds opponents up then rolls around like a cunt when they retaliate. No sympathy for him at all. If anything he's lucky to be playing when he does. Look at the horror tackles players had to deal with a few decades ago. He certainly wouldn't have had the luxury of acting hurt if he'd gone up against the likes of Materazzi, Gatuso, Souness or Keane.

Colombia's had tough games to play in the first round. England had none.
James is out, right, so maybe England has a chance. I thought Trippier, Henderson were good. And Lindgard got good marks. Disappointed with Alli and Sterling.
They're slightly more suited to reach the next level.
But they're English, you know.
Something's bound to happen (Maradona's hand, Lampard's not alllowed goal)?

Gasp... Keane breaking that Citizen player's career... a despicable person.
I think I might get Ney for my fantasy team. But I'm no fan.
There must be somewhere stats to show how many miles the guy travels rolling down clutching at his knee, foot and whatnot that's aching down there poor thing...

haaa haaaa yes, he’s a little shit, and so i hate him

the mexican coach in his press conference defended/justified layún stepping on him by saying “this is a men’s sport” and the ref fell for “payasadas” (clown antics) that harmed the pace of his team.

i agree with all you said. but just wanted to play the opposing arguments

i’ll refer you back to:

furthermore... i’ll give you another refutation of the devil’s advocate but from the same economic perspective (it includes what you said but translates it into money).

the reason for his high economic valuation is that people value the sport where he performs.

his actions, while protective of his own personal fortune, actually devalue the sport as a whole, and should be penalized as parasytical for that reason

...

actually if he gets booked enough for this bullshit his valuation in the market will drop naturally

will play less/ be less admired/ generate less revenue

so: refs need to do their job

!@#$%! 07.03.2018 01:20 PM

impressed with the english players’ speed + fitness

colombia can’t soak this pressure forever, and is attacking with fewer men

i see the loss of james affecting creativity on their attack

right now it’s english domination

and the english defense so far been great, so well coordinated

the colombian counters don’t look so dangerous

!@#$%! 07.03.2018 01:55 PM

at halftime, should things continue, i see england winning on probabilities alone

much closer to colombia’s gole a lot more often

colombia a bit thin in the final third

also last part of first half looked more like a wrestling match than a football game

demonrail666 07.03.2018 01:56 PM

No significant chances from either side but England looking composed all over the park.

Lingard, Trippier, Kane connecting up nicely.

Defence keeping its shape beautifully

But have to convert all that into some real chances.

Falcao isolated.

Colombia look like a red card waiting to happen. Arguably should already have one.

Watched the headbutt again. Straight red. Has to be.

_tunic_ 07.03.2018 01:58 PM

Belgian TV analyst (or actually a Dutch analyst on Belgian TV) calls the first half HIDEOUS :)
especially Alli

h8kurdt 07.03.2018 01:59 PM

State of that header. Total red. Cunts.

h8kurdt 07.03.2018 01:59 PM

Really hope England can keep their heads and rise above the dirty gets

!@#$%! 07.03.2018 02:00 PM

Well he's obviously an arsehole if he's singling Alli out over any Colombian.

demonrail666 07.03.2018 02:20 PM
