Pretty please
Lille especially...

al shabbray 05.14.2009 06:44 AM

move your ass from lille to BERLIN!!!!
that would be nice!!!!

SYRFox 05.14.2009 06:48 AM

I'd like to, but I think it's gonna be impossible, for both money and studies - by October 21st I'll be in Hypokhâgne and won't have that much time :/ I already have problems going to Paris in order to see Animal Collective, so Berlin is a bit far away :D

al shabbray 05.14.2009 06:54 AM

oooooh noooo.
would be nic to meet you there...

SYRFox 05.14.2009 07:04 AM

Don't worry, we'll meet for the Christmas Rick Astley Berlin gig

al shabbray 05.14.2009 07:17 AM

thats what I wanted to hear :)

barnaclelapse 05.14.2009 07:19 AM

A friend of mine is actually supposed to be in Berlin around that time.

Shame they're not into SY.

i second this sentiment! i was at the last one of those indoor gigs. 1998 for a thousand leaves. 11 years is insane.

Well I have to pay little bit more to get there and back, but I don't care...

lukin 06.13.2009 05:31 AM

One of the greatest sounding venues ever, you wont be disapoitned!

dasx 06.13.2009 12:45 PM

I saw Interpol there in november 2007. It's a very good sounding venue. Although air conditioning should be better, so many people in the audience fainted during the concert.

sy2004 10.22.2009 03:22 AM

seems there was a sort of special about the gig on german MotorFM.de this morning

mil_pl 10.22.2009 05:23 AM

whats the setlist ?

lukin 10.22.2009 05:28 AM

For myself, this was an awful gig, was feeling sick after the second song and had to sit down the whole damn thin, couldn´t see anything just hear.
The basically played everything from eternal and then they added, stereo san.., tom violence, cross the breeze, silver rocket, death valley 69, shadow of a doubt
The started of with an extended version of no way(thurstoon had some problems with something so he talked with a crew and the band just keep reapeting the intro), sounded pretty cool, then there was sacred trickster follow by calming the snake. Then I don´t remember the order after that.

Blue Eagle 10.22.2009 06:50 AM

Oh dear, what a shite way to spend the gig.

I like the sound of those oldies though. Will hopefully play DV69 and tom violence in London on Friday.

This Is Not Here 10.22.2009 06:52 AM

If they play Shadow of A Doubt I think my life will end there and then...

dasx 10.22.2009 10:50 AM

For me this gig was probably the best one I've ever seen. Set list was great:

no way
sacred trickster
calming the snake
stereo sanctity
walkin blue
poison arrow
anti-orgasm
silver rocket
malibu gas station
antenna
leaky lifeboat
tom violence
massage the history
------------
what we know
'cross the breeze
------------
shadow of a doubt
death valley 69

(songs are now in correct order.)

It was a great show. I travelled a long way to see it (from Denmark). This was my first SY gig and it was a fantastic experience.

I found video from youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mewlZhQ5enY (Death Valley '69).

mil_pl 10.24.2009 03:25 PM

here is the right setlist for berlin:

No Way
Sacred Trickster
Calming the Snake
Stereo Sanctity
Walkin Blue
Poison Arrow
Anti-Orgasm
Silver Rocket
Malibu Gas Station
Antenna
Leaky Lifeboat
Tom Violence
Massage the History

Encore:

What We Know
'Cross the Breeze

Encore 2:

Shadow of a Doubt
Death Valley '69

dasx 10.24.2009 03:39 PM

Tom Violence was right before Massage the History. In the end of this video member of SY crew gives acoustic guitar to Thurston:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okWX3gAux9Y

The first 6 songs and the last 6 songs (including encores) on my version of the setlist are correct, but I'm not sure the ones in between Poison Arrow and Tom Violence. Does someone have a official setlist?
