I was at the show the live "Strawberry" is from. This tape is perfect for
me today, fanx Greeny. And fanx whoever put it up in the first place.

nancykitten 06.14.2009 06:11 PM

Looks a really good one! Can't wait to listen.

noisereductions 06.14.2009 08:14 PM

amazing tracklist!! Wow. "Sympathy" is such a brilliant song.

Rupert 'Stiles' Stilinski 06.14.2009 09:48 PM

Lots of Sister stuff. Might this mean there is a Sister Remaster in the works?

I was at the Strawberry show also!

Seems kind of unlikely since Geffen is probably the last company holding the rights to it.

Moshe 06.15.2009 12:27 AM

thanks greenlight!

Who does nowadays?

I think SST does and since they still are releasing stuff it might be coming up. Who knows.

Chris Lawrence 06.15.2009 03:16 AM

dates for the live shit if anyone cares:

KOTTON KROWN - 06/18/87 Geneva, Switzerland
BRAVE MEN RUN - 08/11/85 Chicago, IL
UNMADE BED - 08/06/04 Ottawa, ON
STEREO SANCTITY - 06/14/87 Eindhoven, NL
STRAWBERRY - 08/17 or 08/18/02 Chicago, IL

decent selection overall. 2nd live '87 'stereo sanctity' to appear on a mix tape. nice to hear more from that geneva radio thing. 'harmonic sprawl' is neat!

ybag_girl 06.15.2009 03:39 AM

woah amazing

greenlight 06.15.2009 03:45 AM

yeah, Harmonic Sprawl, Contender and all live jams rules. nice selection indeed. cheers for the dates!

whorefrost 06.15.2009 04:59 AM

This reminds me that Brave Men Run is one of my all time faves

chabib 06.15.2009 09:38 AM

aaron and steve wade thru the archives and pull the tracks together. i package 'em and throw the tapes online. we're gonna try to be a bit more regular with releasing these in the future. i'd love it if we could commit to a quarterly release schedule.

nicfit 06.15.2009 09:49 AM

And we'd love you for that.
Hi Chris.

greenlight 06.15.2009 10:13 AM

thanks Chris. I've met Aaron at Primavera thanks to Moshe. nice guy he is. didn't know he's soooo young, haha.

joelfire 06.15.2009 10:42 AM

what a pleasant way to start the week. hopefully the 'contender' jam will be available at point.

mysonichaircut 06.15.2009 12:19 PM

very nice, thanks. contender alone sounds better to me than the whole eternal. also harmonic sprawl. hope live at ottawa will be released someday.

Kegmama 06.15.2009 12:25 PM

Very nice indeed. Thanks to all guys involved!

mysonichaircut 06.15.2009 06:21 PM

shouldnt we forgive?

in fact, in my ears any single tone from the mixtape sounds better than all the best moments from the eternal together. i would pay 50 bucks for sessions like contender, but nothing for thoughtout-teenage-rock-songs. i wish they would stop touring, jam together one year, and then see what happens.

noisereductions 06.15.2009 07:44 PM

yr weird.

canabero 06.15.2009 09:52 PM

capture done! je,je.

by the way, good Unmade Bed's live version.

nicfit 06.16.2009 09:51 AM

chabib, do you still have the tapes' images for the older mixtapes?

I mean, the tape you see while playing the songs in the online player...damn my english is fucked up today...

well, if you have them stored somewhere could you post them here, pretty please?

thanks.
On a side note, I like better other stickers' designs than the one they chose for the guitar packages..

nancykitten 06.16.2009 06:02 PM

The mixtapes are worth their cyber weight in gold.

you want the variously colored backgrounds with the variously colored cassette shells with the different volume numbers as they appear in the flash interface? i can make stills of them. i think i have all of the flash files on my laptop if that graphic sounds like what you want.
