Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth fame will be there playing a solo show to promote his upcoming as yet untitled solo album – a continuation of his solo career after 1995's 'Psychic Hearts'.

Sounds cool. I'm still getting stupidly excited about the prospect of Lee's solo singer/songwriter LP on Ecstatic Peace though.

yes, me too... hopefully he's made some progress in the last few months, because when i asked him about it in amsterdam last september he said that it was "nowheresville" and that he only had a bunch of demos so far. but that was over 4 months ago.

i have to admit i want the biggest fan of that first album though. i was always a free kitten man myself.

excellent. he put on quite a fine performance last year in le old church. i hope for more of the same.

where the fuck is the lineup? ive been looking online and all i can find is a bunch of fucking corporate logos and the announcement of (!) pete townshend. well if anybody could direct me towards the music lineup/schedule i'd appreciate it.

At SXSW 06, for instance, Moore distributed a homemade zine by hand, alongside sidekick Andrew Kesin. In 2007, Ecstatic Peace! will host a two-stage, 12-band blowout that will likely include a performance by Moore himself.

maybe someone in or with the band will clue us in on where/when soon.. the dates for this years event is March 9-13

I don't think the line-up for SXSW has been officially announced yet, just some of it is already known. The Stooges are playing for instance and one of the bands that will appear on the Ecstatic Peace label showcase will be Sunburned Hand of the Man.

I'll settle for a cup of coffee but you know what I really need.

i would think at the very least 80% complete. somebody sent it to me i dont know where they got it.
