You realize you're still a SY fan when....
 

As a fan of a band/artist sometimes you can feel that your love is a bit "fading" (especially in case of a band with a loooooong carreer like SY), but something happens and you suddenly feel that your love for them has been restored to its full potential.
It happened with the sensational fix exhibition + gig + book for me.
So, now, I'd say:

You realize you're still a SY fan when...

- you keep hitting the "refresh button" on matador's "Buy Early Get Now" page every 10 minutes.

- Thurston won't stop slapping your ass

- You notice you wear a SY t-shirt practically everyday.

- You will buy the new SY record, not because you know it will be good, but because it's A NEW SONIC YOUTH RECORD!

I hope it's not the same one. (Actually, I hope it is: that'd be hardcore.)

I wear my "angry, really angry" brown SY tshirt 2-3 times a week, after work.

I have a rotation of my Evol, Washing Machine, Rather Ripped, "take a sip of SY", and the one remaining of the website iron-on shirts.

When you live in a 10-story building that is shaped like Thurston Moore, complete with guitar, and your garage looks like his amp.
