Boredoms/Thuston show Boston 3/29

Hey I just got tickets. It's at the Paridise on March 29th. I've never seen the Boredoms play. Has anyone else? I'm thinking it will be a strange show. Looking forward to seeing Thurston by himself. I was also thinking of going to the Sonic Youth Nashville show.

Boredoms live = fantastic experience. Much as I love Thurston, if I was in your position I'd be getting more excited about seeing Boredoms than about seeing him.

See thread: Throw out the old gods, Boredoms are the new gods

I don't see this listed anywhere. Where did you find it?

hooligan37 03.05.2008 08:23 AM

I saw it listed in the boston phoenix paper. But i purchesed tickets on ticketmaster. They were only $17.00. Great deal.

I saw the boredoms without knowing a single song and it was a really memorable gig. Try to maybe get stoned if possible. Not my thing, but it worked for that show.

fuck you, i was supposed to go home and see that show but it doesnt coincide with my spring break by 3 fucking dates, prepare to be blown away

flophousefloozie 03.07.2008 03:13 AM

I saw them last spring in my hometown. I actually just found this clip.

It was one of the best shows I've seen, and I've seen a few...

Reeeeally...

flophousefloozie 03.10.2008 09:32 PM

Kick him in the balls for me, will you?

neptuneg 03.20.2008 07:23 PM

What do the Boredoms usually play live? I mean, mostly newer stuff? or is it improv? or older stuff?

drrrtyboots 03.20.2008 11:10 PM

They play material sounding similar to Seadrum but with even more depth as that album is now a few years old. None of the songs are very recognizable and definitely don't hope to hear anything off any previous albums but you will be BLOWN AWAY. I'm seeing them the following day, really excited.

the last time i saw the boredoms was the last time i saw kurt cobain alive on stage... jeezus, 1993? the boredoms were a way different band then...

Chris Lawrence 03.24.2008 09:10 PM

saw the boredoms friday night in seattle, they had 3 drummers + eye playing synth + a 7-neck guitar. no shit!

drrrtyboots 03.25.2008 05:30 AM

Eye plays God with his faithful drum army close by.

neptuneg 03.30.2008 12:36 AM

Awesome concert! Three drummers, seven neck guitar, synth, crazy light orb things in the beginning. What exactly was the set list? was there one? three songs total?

krastian 03.30.2008 03:03 PM

Fucking awesome.
