Woke up, got out of bed.
Went online and made a thread.

EVOLghost 05.20.2009 09:58 PM

The Beatles created music.

its not that they invented anything, cause they invented nothing, but they did have a major influence on almost everything that came after them. to deny that doesnt make you bad it does, as someone noted, make you ignorant.

people often get confused that the fact that THEY dont like a band DOES NOT meant that said band was not good/influencial/ worthy of praise....

atsonicpark 05.21.2009 12:45 AM

^^^ That's exactly what I said on the other thread. I don't really get into the Beatles, but to deny their innovation within the pop world and their influence is pretty ridiculous. They made it safe to try new things, to experiment within the studio, and so on and so on.

sarramkrop 05.21.2009 01:00 AM

That's been said on this board a few times before. Atsonicpark, you haven't invented opinions, see? I bet you went through old threads, copied and pasted other boardies' opinions.

viewtiful_alan 05.21.2009 01:04 AM

I'm not one to be mean on boards unless the person asks for it, but with this board don't try and carry on arguments.. the powers that be will never let you win (in this case you don't deserve to though) and will gang up on you with clever, barbed insults. Don't deny your opinions, just know when you're beat.

Been having a bad week? Did your bird stop singing? It's okay. It happens to the best of us.

sarramkrop 05.21.2009 01:21 AM

I'm having a sublime frequencies week.

atsonicpark 05.21.2009 01:33 AM

You mean the label? Lots of great oop stuff here: http://experimentaletc.blogspot.com/...%20Frequencies

Or if you just mean.. sublime frequencies in general... then, cool man. Enjoy the trip.

sarramkrop 05.21.2009 01:34 AM

Sublime.

Maybe they invented drone music too?

I can now say with complete confidence that you're a moron.

I reject the conflation of goodness, influence, and praise-worthiness.

If The Beatles don't get sampled very often, it's Michael Jackson that's to blame. He's the one who keeps refusing people the rights.

I suspect he's jealous that his impact on modern culture is less than a zillionth of theirs.

atsonicpark 05.21.2009 05:10 AM

Since he doesn't own Love Me Do, Please Please Me, P.S. I Love You, and Tell Me Why... so those would be the best ones for rappers to go after.
