'In Silver Rain With A Paper Key' book + 2 7"

You can now order Thurston Moore's new book including two new 7" lp's with new songs at EP Library
http://ecstaticpeacelibrary.com/art/silver.html

press release:

After releasing two acclaimed solo LPs, 1995’s Psychic Hearts (DGC/Geffen Records) and 2007’s Trees Outside the Academy (Ecstatic Peace Records), Sonic Youth chief songwriter, singer and guitarist Thurston Moore presents In Silver Rain with a Paper Key, a hardcover monograph containing two 7” 45 rpm vinyl records. The contents will feature art, photographs, lyrics, poetry and other texts from Moore’s personal notebooks and visual archives. The songs featured on the two 7”s will feature new compositions by Moore including ‘You’ve Lost Your Lover’, ‘Circulation’ and ‘Blood’. The songs are recorded in Western Massachusetts on 12-string acoustic guitar, expanding on Moore’s investigation of a radical and personalized acoustic guitar first featured on Trees Outside the Academy. With In Silver Rain with a Paper Key Moore’s well know work as a poet, bookmaker, artist and editor are at last united with his legendary guitar virtuosity and songwriting skills. This highly collectible book-record constitutes a superb statement of Moore’s many abilities.

EDIT: pre-order not until September

Sounds much more promising than Alabama Wildman. Can't wait to check this out.

Well, I've been saying for some time now that the sheer bulk of their solo and side-project releases have actually been eating into the success of their 'mainstream' releases. When they were releasing stuff like Daydream Nation, The Whitey Album, Goo, Dirty, etc., there were very few of these (usually) limited-edition side releases for fans to pick up. Nowadays, if one is low on money, he or she is more likely to chuck their $25 on the new hard-to-find, limited-to-1500-copies side-project release than what he or she is, say, Sonic Nurse, The Eternal or (certainly) the more expensive box set reissues.

Sounds interestings but there's only 69 pages in the book and price is 50 US dollars. Quite expensive, but maybe I try to get it.

Message from Eva Prinz / Ecstatic Peace Library:

Dear Friends of Ecstatic Peace Library,

Thurston's book/record will not be available until this fall, September 1, 2010; I'm sorry for the confusion. Please check back with us later this year.

Publication date listed everywhere as 30th November, but it's suddenly gone from available for pre-order to unavailable on Amazon UK. Anyone know if the publication date's changed?
