Lee & T, crazy about Bowers & Wilkins

I don't think this has been discussed here previously (apologies if it has). Following a link from... I can't remember where, really, it's four in the morning here, whaddayawant from me - THE POINT IS I got to a Facebook post by Lee from back in May in which he enthuses about Bowers & Wilkins hi-fi speakers:

Since 2002 Bowers & Wilkins high-fidelity speakers have been my reference of choice, both in the studio and at home. Now that same great sound is available wirelessly through their new #FormationSuite system; just open the boxes, pull up the app and go - amazing. #sponsored

Meanwhile, Thurston seems quite happy with the same brand's P-9 Signature over-ear headphones:

Has anyone here tried Bowers & Wilkins products? I haven't and I most certainly won't; as you can check over at their site, this stuff is expensive LAMF. And I need to buy some chemicals ASAP. And my whole country's going down in flames, thank you Milton motherfucking Friedman. (At least that asshole is dead; when is Henry Kissinger gonna die? Come on, the guy's 96!). Anyway, Lee and Thurston wouldn't go nuts about these thingumybobs if they didn't sound pretty sweet, I'm guessing...

I would go nuts on eating horse poo, if I got funded sufficiently

hmm, I'll start a gofundme campaign. Limitations are that it would either be the horse of Sinterklaas or Britt Dekker, wouldn't settle for anything less

edit:
holy cow, this speaker Nautilus costs 65.000 Euro a pair!! It looks awesome though

*squints* I can see something. Don't look like headphones though.

I very much doubt they did it for the money. If that were the case, they would be telling wonders about Dr. Dre's execrably and excretably shitty Beats headphones.

Or Dr Dre and Iovine didn't want them advertising their headphones

Ha, good point.

Iovine has produced albums that are crucial to my life (Darkness On The Edge Of Town, Easter), but the guy is a DICK for stealing Neil Young's Pono concept of an audio "ecosystem" in order to promote bullshit sound.

Did you see the defiant ones documentary? The first three episodes are brilliant, but my god that last one is basically Iovine and Dre sucking each other off. Both total dickheads.

There's a bit where Iovine is like "nah, we don't want that noise cancelling stuff on these headphones. We want people realising that the party is there" Has anyone EVER had some douche playing music loudly through his headphones and people have thought "oh wow, I gotta hang out with that guy. He seems totally cool".

I'm the owner of B&W speakers, as well as PX headphones. Clear and cool sound.
