It's incomplete and amateur-shot, but it is Sonic Youth in 1991.
broonzy is on the hunt for the Nirvana '91 Pukkelpop performance if someone can help.

Tokolosh 11.14.2006 08:15 AM

Very nice! Thanks for that atari.

Sounds good

habibtheantiamericanbitch 11.14.2006 02:49 PM

get it before it disappears......having 'i lover her all the time' on there is grounds for it to be kicked off, regardless of source......

k-krack 11.14.2006 03:04 PM

Could someone put it on Badongo, pleasepleaseplease?!?!?! I have tried and tried to get a dimeadozen account on a few occasions, it has never let me!

this is so great.
there was no sy torrents on dime lately and this is like a satisfaction for waiting.

that's what i thought too... and the reason why i'm hopping onto this one right away.

atari 2600 11.14.2006 07:16 PM

I'm halfway there...oh-oh livin' on a prayer.
Eight hours to go...

pokkeherrie 11.14.2006 07:25 PM

i'm at 57.34% now but i'll probably shut down my computer in a while anyway because it makes too many annoying sounds and would probably keep me out of my sleep.

they're being inconsistent at dime with their own rules anyway... i've seen walls have ears being succesfully torrented at least twice until it suddenly wasn't allowed anymore a third time... same with a dvd version of gila monster jamboree.

atari 2600 11.14.2006 07:58 PM

oh oh
it jumped to a six hour e.t.a. over the last few minutes

greenlight 11.15.2006 05:20 PM

so have you seen it yet?
i'm on 85% now.

atari 2600 11.16.2006 08:39 AM

It all fits on one cd-r as svcd. I'm about to watch it.

atari 2600 11.16.2006 08:46 AM

It's a shaky affair because it's very amateurishly shot; the camera is buried in the crowd for much of it because they are standing in the pit in front of the stage. Usually, people will be further back and just zoom-in more. The sound is very dim. The picture is surprisingly defined and clear though and the sound isn't all that bad. I turned the sound way up, put some Dolby on it with the stereo in one of the surround modes, and it sounds okay.
On the whole, for now I'll go with an inclination that it is better than the Vienna '90.

pokkeherrie 11.16.2006 08:50 AM

why not just watch the .vob files?

anyway, it appears to have been filmed by a midget who suffers from parkinson... very shakey and more than half of the time all you can see are the backs of the heads of the people in front of the filmer... but still enjoyable for the most fervent sonic youth fans i suppose.

Yeah, it's parkinson alright. I kept moving from side to side, trying to avoid those fat heads that keep getting in the way. It's still worth having though.

atari 2600 11.16.2006 09:03 AM

It's borderline. As I'm getting into Flower now, there's all these pops and shit.
It's all a shame, because the performance seems pretty hot.
I'm trying to figure out if anything from this is on The Year Punk Broke.

atari 2600 11.16.2006 10:56 AM

That's what I was thinking was probable.
Thank you very much for confirming.

atari 2600 11.16.2006 10:59 AM

Welcome aboard dime, toko-broonzy. Thanks for this.

Bill Bill Broonzy

greenlight 11.16.2006 12:20 PM
