Does Anyone In Sonic Youth Paint?
 

They come from the right background and I wouldn't be surprised but I don't think I've heard anything about any member of SY doing paintings.

Kim paints a lot. She has exhibitions from time to time. If you look on her dotsonics page, you can see some of her paintings.

Lee wrote about painting in his diary book jrnls80s, so I guess he must paint now and then, or he at least has.

I think jim o rourke used mario paint.

Did Kim paint the cover for sonic nurse?

could someone post some of lee's paintings?

I haven't got time to search for links, but Kim painted the covers to Mirror/Dash's contribution to the recent ThreeLobed series, to Melbourne Direct, and the Thurston's release on Blossoming Noise.

She also painted the Bull in the Heather single cover.

I could remember that one side of the Mirror/Dash one was by Kim and the other by Coco, but I couldn't remember which was which. I didn't want to post Coco's picture and claim it was Kim's work!

Kim's stuff is very interesting to me - and I am way overcritical of everything believe me - at first glance her work seems very simplistic but closer inspection reveals that each mark is often from a different media, not just a big bunch of smears of paint as it might appear.
