Next Reissue?

Washing Machine.

amirite, or amirite?

The cover would be just the washing machine logo glossed over with the blue background and a white border. (maybe even the washing machine itself slightly elevated/popping up)

I haven't even heard 'My Arena'....does someone want ysi?

nicfit 07.13.2007 04:00 PM

geffen asked sy to do 3 reissues. if they won't sign up again with them, I think there won't be more. I'm kinda making this all up with shreds of memories, by the way, I could be totally wrong.

SYRFox 07.13.2007 04:07 PM

I hope there will be more. I actually thought they were going to do Sister Deluxe, then Washing Machine. I don't think they'll do anything else in Deluxe Edition, unfortunately - I'd like to hear a Bad Moon Rising / Confusion Is Sex / EVOL / NYC Ghosts & Flowers Deluxe Edition.

Toxa 07.13.2007 04:11 PM

there were rumors about EJSTNS reissue.

jon boy 07.13.2007 04:18 PM

1000 leaves and/or nyc ghosts and flowers.

SYRFox 07.13.2007 04:18 PM

That would be possible as there is tons of unreleased EJSTNS material floating around on the web (the demo tapes that leaked last year), but I think it would be strange as it's not often considered as a "masterpiece" album... But I don't know

It's true that Geffen originally only asked SY for 3 deluxe reissues, but I suspect that Geffen owns the rights to most of SY's back catalog, therefore they can reissue those recordings on their own at will. They'd probably have to make special arrangements with SY for extra material though.

Okay, this is the thread I uploaded it all for. The uploads in there have expired but if you private message some folks who downloaded it there, they'll kindly provide it for you I expect.

k-krack 07.13.2007 05:41 PM

Danny, I got them, I'll put them up.

Danny Himself 07.13.2007 05:53 PM

You're the sex, Stephen.

And I mean that in a 'friends' way, you know? You don't know.

atsonicpark 07.13.2007 06:21 PM

stop doing reissues, they only really needed to reissue daydream in my opinion.

k-krack 07.13.2007 06:34 PM

I know what you mean, Danny... it's cool.... fag...

CHOUT 07.13.2007 07:22 PM

Speaking of uploads, rarities and the like, can anyone tell me where I might find a decent download of the 'Stick Me Donna, Magik Momma' version of 'Expressway To Your Skull'? There's what appears to be a copy floating around some of the file-sharing sites (e.g. SoulSeek), but it's taken from some bootleg compilation of BBC/Peel/etc. radio sessions, and sounds rather arbitrary and inferior--at least to my ears. Can anyone help me out?

Those Experimental Jet Set demos would make a nice addition to anyone's SY collection, as well....

As for Deluxe Edition/Chronicles reissues I would like to see, a 4-Lp Washing Machine and a 2-Lp Bad Moon Rising would have to top the list. (More about this later--it's lunchtime!)

silverfreepress (sdasher) 07.14.2007 06:01 PM

There has to be some more material from this session laying around in a warehouse in New Jersey. The hunt is on.

greenlight 07.14.2007 06:09 PM

reuissues, hmmm? I don't know. WM is great as it is. sure I'd like to hear some rehersal sessions for WM (if any exists on actual tape). that would be sweet.

deflinus 07.14.2007 09:39 PM

Rather Ripped reissue.

damn straight.

drrrtyboots 07.14.2007 11:21 PM

It was lying around in a warehouse in this beautiful state i call home but seeing as it was probably a warehouse in newark, a junkie probably found it and traded it for 2 bags of some diesel.
