I probably will end up getting both eventually but cant afford to buy both right now. They both look really good but I cant decide which to get right now.

i agree-read psychic confusion 1st and now coming near to the end of goodbye 20th century and it's a whole lot better.

Neither of them is the perfect article - they both concentrate largely on the period already covered by Confusion Is Next, and then dash through the last decade or so as if nothing of any interest has happened since Dirty.

Of the two, though, I would say that Psychic Confusion is utter amateurish crap, while Goodbye 20th Century is at least the work of someone who seems to know what he's talking about.

i didnt read the other one but goodbye 20th century was awesome. i just didn't like how it made their later albums seem liked failed projects. such as ATL and NCYG+F

but the info on their early stuff is fucking great

that is seriously freaky. i had a dream two nights ago (which would be the same day as yours now i think?) where i found a new sonic youth album on vinyl in a store - it was the same cover as ATL but blue!

it was bound to happen, i dream of finding new old albums with blue covers every night - still freaky, though.
