Who would like to hear...

Who would like to hear a new Ciccone Youth installment circa 2010?

It seems like all the fun and satire of the Ciccone Youth 12", The Whitey Album, and the Master Dik EP (which was really a Ciccone Youth statement, despite being credited to SY) have been absorbed by their regular 'mainstream' albums and solo/side-project records. I think it would be great if they had a CY reunion with Mike Watt, (the forgotten) Greg Ginn, and whomever else they could possibly work with on such a project. I would love to hear them simultaneously satirising and absorbing the current mainstream pop scene in a new project. Ciccone Youth: Towards An American Idol...?

Just a suggestion....

I don't know. That Whitey Album is quite amazing. One of my fav. projects they've ever recorded.

Bringing it back might be a bit goofy.

Oh man (?) I thought about this the other day.
When was the last time the Youth released something as daring and ambitious as The Whitey Album?
But like it wasn't called something sucky like Holy Madonna, the title shouldn't mention American Idol.

SYR4?

Once in a time thing.

Madonna has 12 kids and her vagina is wider than the Grand Canyon. Another side project would be fun (oops, the SYR series) but they cannot call themselves Ciccone Youth ever again. Unless they want to have Steve do the vocals on every song. Then I'd support it.

It's the fun, parody and satire contained in those records that I find noticeably missing from them today. Yes, I certainly like the darker stuff (A Thousand Leaves, NYC Ghosts & Flowers, etc) that follow from the Confusion Is Sex side of things, but I miss the lighter moments that those records brought--and it seems nobody even bothers to talk about said records any longer; I bet there are a lot of younger fans who don't even know they exist.

madonna doesn't really have good songs to parody anymore. beyonce youth? gaga youth?

it would be cool to see them do something funny
