not quite... but ok i guess

anyway, that looks like a big yellow bottle of self-harm... or... urine?

i'd give that a wide berth. try an italian amaro instead? milder, thick with herbs, makes a great apperitivo... almost healthy hahaha

seriously with this heat it's campari and soda season...

or how about a good old g&t, inglés?

I suppose it was a bit harsh and put a few hairs on my chest, typical firewater, but I like that sometimes. There's not much I won't drink but G&T I'm not so keen, as el ingles tend to be. It's dry and tasteless and probably the reason for all those whacky flavours you see as mixers. Talking of English favourites I do like a strong cider but the acidity will rot your teeth. I did buy some metal straws in an attempt to bypass the mouth but it's a lot of hassle trying to shove a straw down your gob just to get some fizzy pop doon yr'neck.

Italian aperitif is alright, but my new obsession (developed after a tour of the bodega) is Vino de Jerez, or what's colloquially known as an old woman's tipple of choice, Sherry, and Port for digestif, topped off with an Irish coffee of course. For humid days you can't go wrong with a Tinto de verano. I'll have to try Campari some time.

...but Mellow gold man, mellow corn gold
