I used to drink Stella back when it had a reputation for being quite powerful. It was called wife beater if I remember correctly. Ever since the alcohol content was reduced from 5.1% to eventually 4.6% I don't bother anymore on a point of principle and it just didn't taste the same, contrary to what their PR spin was. 'Less ABV, same taste. We recognise an ongoing health and wellness trend through moderation.' lol. The tax savings would have been astronomical but that didn't make the press release. It does look like there was an unfiltered 5% version released after the backlash to these lovely corporates trying to control people's drinking habits but I am yet to try.
Recently I've been drinking a tropical IPA called Growling Dog (7.5%) in the local spoons. Really get's the blood pumping, perfect for a round of beating up the family upon returning home.
