Today 400 years ago, 29 March 1623, my great-great-great-great-uncle, or something like that, was decapitated and quartered for his part in the failed plot to assassinate the Prince Of Orange.
Memories of this event can be found in the collections of the Louvre in Paris and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam
