re: thurston skating

i had a 2002/2003 issue of Slap, the skateboard magazine, which had an interview with thurston. he said he tried skating a couple of times but was too tall and lanky to pull it off. then he saw kris novoselic totally shredding on a deck so that was that theory outta the window.
he also talked about the band's musical progression and likened it to skateboarding, saying that you might bust some radical trick and it's cool but you want to learn new tricks as well... or something... i'm paraphrasing... bloody mum chucked the magazine... sigh...
