his “idea,” more of a marketing slogan, was to “make america great again”

he sold it like diplomas to trump university, as baseball hats

it was pure marketing bullshit that capitalized on the feelings of frustration and disenfranchisement of the uneducated white working class, plus a deal with the evangelicals for supreme court judges, plus tax bones thrown to tea partiers.

he’s actually delivered in his shoddy way on those promises: tariffs, personal interventions in the economy, christian white males in the court, and tax cuts for the rich. awful, but he’s done it. he keeps screaming for the wall which his base loves.

hillary could not sell cold water to a person stranded in a desert. i consider myself, perhaps arrogantly, an educated and well read person, capable of listening to a complex argument, but she’d put me to sleep with her lawyer style talk. every “idea” (so many of them, such a lack of a central theme and core message) explained in the most convoluted fashion possible.

yes she proposed good policies, but as a candidate she was utter shit. we all know this.

i just watched chapelle’s “equanimity” this morning and he put how it felt to vote for hillary in the funniest of ways. watch it if you get a chance.

fyi warren is doing the same thing as hilary. great at policy, AWFUL on message. she was my favorite for years then she takes a microphone and oh the sorrow.

i have not listened to yang speak or how he explains shit (maybe i should after i finish this project that has me swamped) so i dont know how well he can sell his proposals but “human capitalism” sounds (like bush’s “compassionate conservatism”) muuuuch better that hillary’s “stronger together” or bolshevik bernie’s “socialism!” (which means statism, which means a sluggish economy, which means distributing poverty.)

so... what is the question behind these questions?

i thought you were driving at something
