The Republican party has utterly abandoned any intention, shit, any
pretense of trying to convince the electorate that their policies are better than Democratic ones. Because they have no policies anymore, only Trump. So their reasoning is, OK, we start with 40+ percent or summat, let's get whatever else we need by gerrymandering, appointing ultraconservative judges, and oh yeah, sending some goons with GUNS to polling stations.
I'm hoping for the best, fearing the absolute worst.
