records are archives of sound, historical documents, no matter what you may think of the music contained within.

they are a source of much information, not just the music. records have names of companies, people, engineers, writers, dates, connections to be made for anyone who is a researcher or has a researcher's mind.
it is different to have a pile of neglected LP's at a sale. the ones in the above image were actively destroyed by using them as flooring/
