some of the stuff did not happen exactly how it happened and the documentary, 'joy division' gives better information, i think.
but its lovely and i like the way its shot in. i have a favourite scene from control but i forgot which one it was. |

I just really like the performance scenes.
Like Oliver Stone's The Doors, terribly inaccurate movie but I just love those performance scenes! |

To be honest, I thought Control was pretty average - kind of a join-the-dots skim over the story. It's nicely shot and has a couple of good performances (loved the Rob Gretton), but wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it to anyone other than JD neophytes.
Then again, I really liked 24HPP, even though you've got to take it with a massive pinch of salt. But at least it's upfront about that - much better than Control getting bogged down in it's own gravitas. |
