two questions

1. Do any of you play instruments which you do not play onstage as sonic youth or as a solo set, etc. And if you do what are they.

2. When you go into the studio to structure and write songs, or even build on ideas, do you have a sound which you want to achive at the end of the album.

I was waiting behind the show in Denver 2004. I said "good show, Kim" and you said "thanks." I felt like a creep and hope that you realized I wasn't stalking you because I was staring. I was only waiting for the last possible moment so the people coming behind wouldn't hear me say it and then come running to mob you. Do you remember? I only have that question. it's not much, but also, i'm sorry and I LOVE YOU! SY rules, dude.

Do you know if any avant-garde glenn brancaish guitar symphonies or happenings like A's where performing artists, bands and poets performed and hung out still exist today? I wouldn't know becuz Wisconsin is the farthest from art and avant-garde. I need to get out of here. I plan to move to NYC soon. If you could give me the reading of life on this scene that would be great.

I wouldn't count on getting an answer too soon. The band is very busy with the tour and their worker bees are moving everything to the new studio. I sent them a DVD 6 months ago, of the complete gig at PARADISO, A'dam, 2004, and was told that they had recieved it. Ya gotta understand that we're talking about Sonic Youth here. I'm sure they'll look at it when they have the time. Patience never killed anyone. Good luck.
