  • These were possibly Richard Edson's last shows with the band. Per Goodbye 20th Century, Edson's last shows were a 2-night stand at the Mudd Club in February. Per the liner notes of the Sonic Youth reissue, his last show was at the Mudd Club. There are photographs of SY performing with Edson captioned as "June 18th, 1982 @ Danceteria", taken by Catherine Ceresole, who seemed pretty reliable as far as dating her early photographs of the band, so it is possible that Edson did play with them up until June. If anybody knows for sure, please let me know!
