last night i met a girl named kathy b. with the most pure and beautiful blue-gray eyes and looking into them was certainly the highlight of the evening. she said there were many people there on acid, and i would guess that the gig was tailor-made for them -- we were slow and everything dripped with molasses, some songs got so hopelessly balled up that it was incredible we continued. some things were actually pretty good, it's just that overall it wasn't the most tight and energetic set. in slo-mo for the acid queens. god!, three days off and we're all soft and out of the routine. i had a kind of fun though, it was one of those strange sets where you don't know what's coming next. the 9:30 was sold out, so there were a lot of folks there to watch us wade thru the cotton candy.
