Lyrics   status: unconfirmed

If you want me to I will be the one
That is always good and you'll love me too
But you'll never know what I feel inside
That I'm really bad, little trouble girl

Remember mother? We were close.
Very, very close.
You taught me how to feel good
Flirt and laugh, be understood
Curl my hair and eyelash
Pinch my cheeks and do my lips
Swing my hips just like you
Smile and behave
A circle of perfection, it's what you gave
Then one day I met a guy
He stole my heart, no alibi
He said "Romance is a ticket to paradise"
Mama, I'm not too young to try
We kissed, we hugged
We were close. Very, very close.
We danced in the sand
And the water rose, higher and higher
Until I found myself floating in the sky
I'm sorry mother, I'd rather fight than have to lie

If you want me to, I will be the one
That is always good, and you'll love me too
But you'll never know what I feel inside
That I'm really bad, little trouble girl
Little trouble girl [backup vocals repeat x10]
Cross my heart and hope to die
I can not tell a lie

Track length: 4:29

Last Known Performance:  none

NOTES:

  • Working Title: "Trouble Girl"
  • Actually, I lied about "Thumb" having been the longest lasting working title for a song on this album (Saucer-Like): "Trouble Girl" actually made it to the track list of promo copies of the album.
  • The second single from Washing Machine. A strange video was made, featuring Kim Gordon and Kim Deal (of the Breeders) and some alien kid.
  • The instrumental version lacks the piano overdubs featured on the vocal release. If you haven't heard the instrumental version, track it down, it's pretty interesting to hear.
  • I still don't know for sure whether Kim played guitar or bass on this...
