I only found out about this today, but I guess it happened like two weeks ago. Under normal circumstances I guess I wouldn't mind too much. The Turtles had a pretty good ride with a neat 80's cartoon and some really great comics, as well as a couple of good movies. A majority of the comics now are drawn by that Lawson fucker and they're real difficult to get into. The new cartoon is really difficult to find enjoyment in. I guess the Turtles are just past their prime. But there was a new live action picture supposed to happen in 2011. After the 2007 CGI one, this was going to be the last chance for a real stab at the darker Turtles. But whatever, Nick isn't going to do that now. Bummer.

They've had another movie since the 2007 one, I believe.

if you went back and watched the cartoon or the films now i'm sure you'd see that they were actually rubbish all along but that as a child you were not equipped with the critical faculties to discern this

Isn't there a currently waiting for release tv-movie for the current cartoon series where they meet a bunch of their past incarnations? Primarily the '80s cartoon, but also the Next Mutation show and the original 1980s comic?

That first movie is genuinely slick. Alot of the first volume comics are really great too. Dark, violent, they drink beer. Never heard of that made for tv movie thing.
