Big faves with my crowd when I was in high school in the 80s:

The Breakfast Club
Pretty In Pink
Suburbia (The Spheeris one, and OK so it's not a "high school movie" per se, but it does involve teens)
Ferris Bueller
Sixteen Candles

I'm just talking about movies with high school and/or teens as the main focus.
The other big ones with my crowd at the time:

The Hunger
The Wicker Man
Road Warrior
The Great Rock And Roll Swindle
