They have some amazing songs. Not only Cissy Strut, but particularly this. The "Anthology - Funkify Your Life" is great to listen to sometimes.

The Meters kick ass, but I have a soft spot in my heart for the deep funk. Check it out, my alma mater's radio station WRVU has a show Friday nights 8-10 pm central time called D-Funk. It is all about old rare kick-ass funk 45s. It is awesome:
